Party pics: Last Days at Mercury Bar
It was a bittersweet evening for regulars of Mercury Bar, the beloved neighborhood/HPU watering hole off Chaplain Lane in Chinatown, as owner Andrew Bugreyev thanked his patrons and staff and announced the end of an era for the venue. After September’s First Friday, the bar will close down for renovations and reopen under (partially) new management on October’s First Friday. The bar won’t be shutting down, but Bugreyev has sold his majority shares to Anthony Karl of Rakuen and will be stepping back from daily operations.
