Party pics: Green Drinks June @ reStyle
Green Drinks Honolulu got stylish this month at Kakaako’s new edgy, eclectic furniture and accessories store, reStyle Hawaii, owned by design diva Cathy Lee. Sustainable businesses and organizations, including Blue Planet Foundation, Toyota (showcasing their new hybrid Prius models), Affogato Gelato and several others helped to create a dialogue with their tables as eco-savvy attendees circulated and enjoyed the food and hosted bar. The guest speaker this month, Blue Planet Foundation CEO Jeff Mikulina, talked briefly on several energy bills that failed to pass in legislature this session, as well as how people can support other eco-conscious initiatives in the works, including a bill to ban styrofoam containers in Hawaii.
The monthly pau hana event, sponsored by Green Magazine Hawaii, is held at different locations each month, and gives sustainability-inclined business and community leaders a place to mingle, compare ideas and talk story.
