Party pics: Goddess Alchemy Project
The four ladies of Bay Area-based world music/hip-hop/electronica band Goddess Alchemy Project performed at NextDoor on Saturday, with local acts Taimane Gardner, Sex Puppets, Shakti Dance Movement and Kings of Spade opening. Although technical difficulties prevented the band from going on until almost 1:30 a.m., most of the crowd waited patiently and were rewarded with a beautiful show that went past 2 a.m. and incorporated elements of hip-hop, tribal electronica and world music.
