Party pics: First Friday Art Walk Feb 2016

February’s First Friday art walk went later than usual, with several locations switching it up and going til 10-11 p.m. with art receptions, trunk sales and more. We hit some of the most buzzed-about places, including the new Nuuanu ROC building, with an art show by line artist and former tattoo artist Santi, and cocktails in the courtyard. We also stopped by The Human Imagination, where celebrated local artist Steve Nazar held court at an art reception for some of his work. Steve is the mastermind behind Town & Country Surf Designs’ popular, wacky local cartoon characters, and the pop-up show was to introduce his new line of sports stars for In4mation, in collaboration with Paradise Soccer Club and Kicks to the Pitch. Our last stop was Barrio Vintage, where artist Liz Miller presented a special Extraterrestrial installation which went well with the shop’s bright, bizarre vintage theme.
