Party pics: Estria’s ‘Water Writes’ Mural Unveiling
Oakland-based graffiti artist pioneer Estria and the artists of 808 Urban celebrated the unveiling of Hawaii’s newest and biggest mural at Honolulu Community College on Thursday evening, part of the Estria Foundation’s “Water Writes” worldwide series addressing the issues surrounding water and water conservation.
Notable faces in the crowd included the Palace Royal Guard, Gov. Neil Abercrombie, the HCC Chancellor and a host of local artists and musicians, including John Prime Hina, Ckaweeks and Katch. The festivities also included food trucks, activity booths and vendors.
