Party pics: Cool Kailua Nights
Kailua came together Saturday evening for a street festival celebrating its food, fashion and community spirit. Along with great food, there was musical entertainment by Roothub, Erika Elona, Paul Izak, The Deadbeats, Jerome James and DJ Jenr8r, carnival rides and more. Cool Kailua Nights was also the finish line for the Kailua Nite Run, a 5K fun run that started just after sunset and took runners around the edges of the Kawai Nui Marsh wetlands.
Proceeds from the event, organized by director Danielle Scherman, will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Windward Clubhouse and Castle Medical Center’s Oncology Clinic.
