Party pics: Aloha for Haiyan Survivors Fundraiser
Fourteen organizations, including CARE, AT Marketing, Filipino Law Students Association, Hawaii Filipino Lawyers Association and the Filipino Junior Chamber coordinated Thursday evening to throw a fundraiser bash at M Nightclub in Restaurant Row. A percentage of the proceeds from food and drinks will go to CARE, a global poverty-fighting organization with an emphasis on women’s empowerment. Organizers also collected check and cash donations, and dozens of bags of blankets, clothing and basic toiletries that will go to help the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan.
