Party pics: Aaron Yoshino’s Art Reception
Aaron Yoshino, who has long been one of Honolulu’s most talented and prolific photographers, hosted an art reception for his photography at Hotel Renew Wednesday evening. Aaron specializes in capturing a side of our city that we wouldn’t normally see.
The prints will be on display from June 13-July 14, and prices range from $50 to $300.

“Actually, a lot of the art pieces in here were chosen to go with the color scheme of the hotel,” Aaron said.
“Honolulu’s so hard to take pictures of, because everybody has taken pictures of it before. So I really try to go for different angles and perspectives, something that’s less obvious. I just drive around and look… actually I keep a list of ‘secret spots’ that I shoot from and don’t tell anybody about.”
