You could say we’re a wee bit star-struck. When it comes to celebs, we’ve got reading gossip mags in the bag. Which is why we’re totally applauding the release of a new collection by local-boy celeb Kini Zamora and his business partner, Dinko Satta.

Zamora was pushed into the public eye as the only Hawai‘i-based contestant on the current season of Project Runway. As awesome as it is seeing a local playing the fame game like a pro, we really love Zamora for his seriously star-quality designs, which he puts to good use with his and Dinko’s label, KINIandDINKO. Get the red carpet ready—the duo will unveil the looks for their spring/summer 2015 collection on the runway at HONOLULU Fashion Week.

Get ready for some high style inspired by high-rises: Zamora and Satta are drawing from their fast-paced experiences in New York City’s endless sea of skyscrapers for this new collection. To Zamora, the sun shining through the shadowy structures is the perfect symbol of the play between darkness and light and challenge and blessing. In other words: what life in the fashion industry is like for an up-and-coming style star.
