New eats: Cake Envy

Cake Envy opens today in Chinatown across the street from Hawaii Theatre. Chef/owner Amy Brookes has created a nice dessert place for theatre-goers that will be open for the late-night crowd. Her goal was to provide a sweet alternative to the neighborhood’s bustling bar scene.

I was invited to sample a few cheesecakes prior to the launch..
