New eats: Armbar Sports Bar and Grill

Tucked away on the bottom level of Aiea Shopping Center is a little-known hideaway for MMA, boxing and football fans. Welcoming of all sports junkies (including surfers; they have the surf channel) Armbar Sports Bar and Grill is a local neighborhood hangout away from the packed Downtown bars. Complete with a selection of draft beers, specialty cocktails and a mini version of the octagon, Armbar is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and a game. Huge flat panel screens line the walls, providing an immersive HD viewing experience, and this new bar has a friendly staff, great TVs and a nice selection of grinds.

Armbar has taken over the space of Kapiolani Bakery at Aiea Shopping Center next, to Times Supermarket. So far, it’s drawn a mixed crowd of mostly 30-somethings.
