Mālama Wao Akua 2023
Saturday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This juried art exhibition celebrates the native species of Maui. Every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, conservationists will be in the gallery to answer questions and engage in conversations about current conservation topics. Also, a walkthrough with jurors Kirk Kurokawa and Scott Fisher will take place on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m.

We Are Friends: A Maui Wildfire Benefit Concert
Saturday, Sept. 23, 4 p.m.
Enjoy the music of an all-star lineup of performers, including Henry Kapono, Jake Shimabukuro, Robert Cazimero, Kimié Miner, Makana, Anuhea, Brother Noland, Kalapana, Amy Hanaiali‘i, Sistah Robi, Tavana, Eric Gilliom, Angela Morales of Na Leo, The Rough Riders, Ana Vee, Kala‘e Parish and Kealoha. This concert is part of a series of MACC shows raising funds for the victims of the devastating fires. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 3:30 to 10 p.m. on the lawn.

Kolohe Kai With Special Guests Matisyahu and Cydeways
Saturday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m.
One of the most popular island artists today, Kolohe Kai has produced 10 reggae hits since signing a record deal at age 17. His likable sound covers various genres of roots reggae, pop and R&B. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 5 to 10 p.m. on the A&B Amphitheater lawn.

Free ‘Ukulele Workshop
Saturday, Oct. 7, 11 a.m.
Join this free workshop conducted by ‘ukulele master Roy Sakuma for students of all ages. Lessons are designed for beginning and intermediate players—they should be able to hold C, F, G7 chords and bring their own ‘ukulele. No pre-registration is necessary. Participants can enter a drawing to win a new ‘ukulele and will be invited to participate in a performance during the Annual Maui ‘Ukulele Festival the next day, playing a song they learn in the workshop.

16th Annual Maui ‘Ukulele Festival
Sunday, Oct. 8, 3 p.m.
Listen to live ‘ukulele music on the lawn by performers like Jeff Peterson, Andrew Molina, Rama, Kamaka and Kala‘e Camarillo, Kamakakehau Fernandez, Arlie Asiu and many more. MACC will be collecting donations for the Maui Food Bank during the day. Suggested donations include rice, canned protein, canned meals, snacks, protein and breakfast bars, peanut butter, jelly, baby food, diapers, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper and paper towels.
