Kailua’s Olive Boutique Expands to Lifestyle Décor That We Are Absolutely Living For

Home chic home.

Olive’s connecting fashion boutique shares the space.

The best way to describe Olive Boutique’s new home space? If Anthropologie had a local cousin. “I’ll take that,” says owner Ali McMahon laughing. “I love Anthro.”

A new home addition was something that McMahon and her husband, Parker Moosman, frequently spoke about. So, as kismet would have it, when the tenant of the shop next to Olive closed its doors, a new one opened for the couple. “It’s all about timing,” says McMahon. “The plan was to expand. We love having things with life around us—things that tell a story. The lines we have at home and brands we admire on Instagram or from our travels, we now get to carry.”

When you walk into the sunlit space, you feel like you’re in the coziest, chicest home away from home. Expect to fall in love with local art (including pieces by two of Ali’s favorite photographers, Jenn Ellenburg and Kristen Hook) that grace the wall above the snuggle-friendly daybed. Moosman’s coveted vintage, one-of-a-kind finds add charming character to floating shelves and wooden tabletops. Locally made ceramics, linen throws and terracotta pots in all sizes ooze that jungalow vibe. And, glassware from New York, olive oil from California and a homemade checkout countertop made of local wood from Waimānalo Wood (it’s gorgeous!) are exclusive to the shop.
