Jason Dow's gorgeous new Prakāśa line inspired by hanging lanterns
Light of Consciousness

Rihanna tells you to shine bright like a diamond. The Smiths say there is a light that never goes out. Ellie Goulding says, "Lights, lights, lights, lights, lights, lights, lights, lights … "
We get it. Light is a powerful thing, especially inner light. Jewelry designer Jason Dow recognized this and created a line based on the concept. His Prakāśa collection—which means light, or light of consciousness, in Hindi—is modeled after Chinese and Moroccan hanging lanterns, and emotes power and confidence that come from within.
Each necklace is intricately designed, from sketch to 3-D print. Dow uses computer-aided design software to translate his drawings into wax models, then casts them in solid 18K gold. To finish them off, he embellishes each piece with diamonds, pearls and moonstones. That's some serious bling.
