Best of Lei Chic: March 2014

H&M comes to Honolulu

One of Honolulu's most anticipated store openings ever brought in more than 3,500 shoppers last Thursday, including Lei Chic reader Tiffany, who scored a $100 gift card and half an hour of private shopping on us. We walked through the store before anyone else to give our readers a sneak peek of the goodies (especially opening-day specials) and continued coverage with grand opening photos and videos on honolulumagazine.com, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Follow us for more updates as the craziness continues!

Smoothies and superfoods

We picked five ingredients that give smoothies an extra boost of nutrition and goodness and wrote about where to find them. Good news: Leahi Health, whose King Green smoothie with homemade kombucha made us feel perky and rejuvenated, just opened a juice bar at 1111 Bishop St., open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m., so now you can get your health fix downtown.

Baleen jewelry from Maui

Simple handmade earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces that are super cute and don't break the bank? We're all over that. Roberta Oaks just got some of Baleen's new rose-gold stud earrings in last week and constantly restocks the jewelry line. Like Roberta Oaks on Facebook to see new designs as they come in.

Seafoam Green's leather pouches

We mentioned how Grace Sadoyama Landeza uses old leather pants to create stylish pouches for everything from your wallet to your cosmetics, and now she's working on partnering with a charity for Eden in Love's Gifts That Give program. Stay tuned for the official announcement in the coming weeks.
