HuffPost Hawaii launch event
HuffPost Hawaii held its launch event Tuesday evening at Hawaii Theatre, inviting local media, social media influencers, bloggers and community leaders. Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington and Civil Beat publisher/CEO Pierre Omidyar headlined the event — a State of Media talk — moderated by Hawaii Public Radio’s Beth-Ann Kozlovich. The session delved into the vision behind HuffPost Hawaii, a new website produced by Honolulu Civil Beat and the Huffington Post, and the role it plays in the islands’ media landscape.
