HONOLULU Magazine Wins Hawaii Publisher’s Association Pai Awards
HONOLULU took home honors for stories on topics ranging from the International Marketplace to the Special Session on Same-Sex Marriage.
Here at HONOLULU Magazine, we love telling the stories of the Islands and the people who call it home. It’s what we do. Still, it’s nice to get kudos every now and then, and recently we got just that from the Hawaii Publishers Association, at its annual Pai Awards. HONOLULU won recognition for several stories published in 2013, as did our sister magazines, Hawaii and Mana.

Hawaii Magazine garnered a first place award for cover design for their September/October 2013 issue as well as second place awards for overall excellence in visitor publications with a circulation of less than 500,000, cover design for their July/August 2013 issue and editorial cartoon.
Mana Magazine picked up first place awards for its editorial "History Repeated," by Keopulaulani Reelitz, September/October 2013, and its editorial series, "Against the Grain,” by Britt Yap, July/August 2013, and a second place award for the photography in “Lawaia,” by Sterling Kaya, September/October 2013.
