Hawaii: In Real Life ~ Miso & Ale

As you know, I went to the new pop-up, Miso & Ale (@MisoAndAle), a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I see these guys around town, planning for their events, and was so impressed, I wanted to know more about them. What makes them tick? Who are all the guys behind the operation? And more importantly, what’s next?

I got to catch up with two of the partners, Chris Okuhara and Chris Gee, at last weekend’s Moiliili Festival for a quick interview. Well, okay, we kind of barged into their booth while they were cooking.

Their next pop-ups will be at Moke’s Bread and Breakfast on July 22 and 28. (Hopefully there are still seats available, as I will be taking my cousin Celia as soon as she lands from Singapore.) If you can’t make it to the next two events, Miso & Ale will have new pop-up concepts in August. Visit HawaiiIRL.com to hear about what they have planned next!

p.s. If you went to the Moiliili Festival: Did you try their grape doughnuts? Just curious to see what people thought. My immediate circle of friends gave a range of reactions. What was yours?
