Hawaii Food & Wine: Taste Our Love for the Land
Eighteen world-renowned chefs, many of whom promote the “farm to table” concept in their restaurants, were featured at last night’s gala in the Hawaii Convention Center’s rooftop garden. Each booth offered unique and luxurious dishes that highlighted Hawaii ingredients and/or Hawaii cuisine, like Sang Yoon’s modern version of lomi salmon or Grant MacPherson’s Scotch egg using Big Island beef.
Exquisite wines were offered by 11 wineries, or attendees could opt for creative cocktails by six celebrity mixologists. It was impossible to get through every station, but here’s a look at some of the items we did get to enjoy, as well as the people we enjoyed them with:
