So you’ve got 13 costumes lined up and you’re ready to party like every day is Halloween. From spooky pop-up bars and bar crawls to block party extravaganzas, here’s our pick of some of the best Halloween nightlife spots to hit on O‘ahu.

Nightmare: A Halloween-Themed Pop-Up Bar

This brainchild of the twisted minds behind 17A Productions (Haunted Plantation, Unlocked Escape Room, Ghost Bar, Skull & Crown Trading Co., Obake Honolulu) is celebrating its fifth year, and they’re pulling out all the stops. The former Shokudo space is decked out with Halloween props made in 17A’s in-house FX studio. Expect creepy, fantastical creatures, a great atmosphere, custom cocktails at the bar and an overall haunting experience. 21 and over, please, walk-in only, no reservations.
Zombie Hideaway Halloween Tiki Pop-Up Bar

Crawl With Us Chinatown Halloween Bar Crawl

The first of three bar crawls happening in Honolulu for the spooky season. Find exclusive food and drink specials at seven Chinatown and Kaka‘ako bars in this loosely formatted and costumed crawl: J. Dolan’s, NextDoor, Proof Social Club, Smith & Kings, The Other Side HI, Honolulu Beerworks and TJ’s Sports Bar & Grill, plus an after-party from 10 p.m. to midnight at NextDoor.

The District’s Mile High Halloween Events

With a $1,000 costume contest on Friday, a $2,000 costume contest on Saturday and a sure-to-be-popular special party on Halloween night, this aviation-themed party series at The District offers several chances to win some cash. As always, it’s the spot to party with a great-looking crowd, DJs and dancing until late in the night. Don’t have an aviation-themed costume? Don’t worry, it’s optional.
Fright Nights at Pearlridge

The old Sears parking lot at Pearlridge will turn into a massive Halloween party with live multi-genre music, DJs, creepy sideshows, scares, games, food vendors, a bar and more. This event is not recommended for the faint of heart. 18 and over, please.
Tiki’s Grill & Bar Halloween Bash

This popular Halloween party in the heart of Waikīkī is ground zero for some crazy fun, with a nice view overlooking the action on Kalākaua Avenue below. Live bands start at 5:30 p.m., with a DJ spinning from 10 p.m. to close. Make a reservation for dinner in the dining room, then stick around for spooky themed drinks, costumes and revelry. You’ll get three free hours of valet parking with validation.
Halloween at the Hyatt: Celebrities in the Night
