From June 15-July 31 inspired food-lovers can enjoy “Flavorful Impressions of Monet” at two of the hotel’s most desirable venues. Sweet Impressions of Monet at The Veranda

Looking out over Waikīkī’s famous shoreline on Saturdays and Sundays, enjoy a special edition of Honolulu’s most popular Afternoon Tea Service. Receive a beautiful printed menu featuring Monet’s emblematic waterlilies that itself is a work of art. In addition to scrumptious fresh-baked scones and savory bites like truffled egg salad sandwich, the chefs at The Veranda have created a set of unique sweets to accompany selected tea sets.

Marvel at the lovely lilikoi macaron finished with a tiny impressionist-style painting presented on luscious white chocolate. Feel the sweet comforts of a refined take on a rustic apple tartine, inspired by Claude Monet’s life on the French countryside while taking in the aroma of fresh lavender sprigs, Monet’s favorite flower. Continue your fanciful foodie adventure with a choice of inspired dinner at Beachhouse restaurant. Chef Ed Morris presents two different menus to delight diners with intimate details drawn from throughout Monet’s lifetime. Bon Appétit with The Impression, is a three-course tasting menu that costs $120 (add $45 for wine pairings or cocktail pairings), and The Masterpiece, a four-course tasting menu priced at $140 ($60 additional for wine pairings or cocktail pairings). Sip on cocktails focused on fine French details such as The Shadow, an ethereal blend of Lillet Rose, St Germain elderflower liquor (which has the essence of lychee!) fresh lemon and finished with Maldon sea salt.

Marvel over dishes inspired by Monet’s actual works, such as the “San Gorgio Maggiore at Dusk”, an arrangement of lobster Américaine with confit fingerling potatoes, pea puree, carrot puree, nasturtium leaves, marigolds and charred brussel sprouts. Other fanciful dishes include the “Lavacourt under Snow”, beautiful Coquilles Saint-Jacques mushroom duxelles, seared scallops in a tarragon white wine cream sauce finished with shredded gruyère, zuchini and fine herbs.

Monet is celebrated pioneering impressionist style painting, capturing the candid textures and colors of his subjects and making way for a raw, inventive style of painting that welcome all who are drawn to it.
