Hawai‘i State Library

We’ve always been drawn to the grand Greco-Roman columns and ornate arched windows that frame the Andrew Carnegie-funded library’s entrance. Once inside, we were equally taken with the historic circa-1913 building’s lesser-known nooks, tucked-away marble staircases, rows of wrought-iron bookcases and even an old-fashioned gated elevator that all served as perfect backdrops for our fall fashion feature. Mahalo to acting director Marya Zoller for her assistance.
