Dowtown Uncorked: YWCA Oahu fundraiser

Last Friday, wine lovers converged for Downtown Uncorked: in Full Bloom at Cafe Julia. Tickets were reasonably priced — $30 — for wine tasting, sake, live music, culinary treats and an opportunity to bid on seasonal wines. There were easily more than 400 people perusing, eating and imbibing in the courtyard to support YWCA of Oahu’s mission and services.

Here’s a bit of history about the “Y”…

Founded in 1900, the YWCA Oahu is the oldest and largest women’s membership organization in Hawaii supporting women and girls through housing, economic self-sufficiency, professional development, and health and wellness. The YWCA of Oahu has more than 2,300 members and three facilities on Oahu, including the flagship YWCA Laniakea in downtown Honolulu.
