Release the Quackin’

Let’s get straight to it: There was a surfing duck during the pet tandem portion of the competition. Her name is Daffy and she enjoys surfing around O‘ahu with her human friend, Kris. Follow them on Instagram @susiesduck and @kksunbum.

Daffy protested a handful of times.

Daffy appeared most comfortable when her and Kris tried out impressive acro-yoga surf moves.

Shark Dog

This petite pooch draws you in with his precious pose. But beware! Get too close and the ferocious Shark Dog will attack, with his human transporter by his side.

Shark Dog’s human consults him on their plan of attack.

Shark Dog clearly draws his powers from the ocean and is most comfortable when relaxing on his water chariot.
Lady Luna

We learned that This Little Lady was the oldest furbaby competitor of day. Follow Luna and her human on Instagram @alikaandluna.

Here she is teaching a master class on tandem surfing.

Luna shares her calming wisdom of the ocean with newcomer Phoenix.
Rise Like a Phoenix From the Waves
