The seventh annual Cinema Italiano opens Thursday at Kahala Consolidated Theatres, with the screening of the Italian comedy “Basilicata Coast to Coast.” The festival, which runs from Sept. 23-26, will screen eight films. The opening night ceremony on Thursday runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on the Kahala Mall roof, with Italian food and entertainment. (A ticket to the opening movie is also included.)
