Yes, it’s a warehouse. Yes, it’s on Dillingham just past the prison. And yes, you can really taste it.

Last night an estimated thousand people — a third more than last year — paid an average $90 a pop and flooded into the discount warehouse at the edge of Kalihi. For what? Sushi, sake, ramen, yakitori, gourmet pupus, beer, OMG, so much.

You’ll see. We took lots of pics. Our first Taste of Marukai! (Yes, that’s an exclamation point.)
