Did this: Hallowbaloo
Nonstop photogs Jonas Maon and Tracy Chan took to the streets of Chinatown Saturday evening for the giant annual Hallowbaloo music and arts festival. Thousands of costumed partygoers packed the streets and crowded around six stages of entertainment that included DJs, costume contests and performers like Man Man, The New Mastersounds, Gaudi, Medicine for The People, The Deadbeats, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, Hell Caminos, The Jumpoffs, Dancers Unlimited and Giinko Marischino. Take a look at the crazy costumes and sights we spotted!
Hallowbaloo Street Festival
Club Hallowbaloo (the after-party)
After the Hallowbaloo street festival ended at 10 p.m., the costumed crowds headed to the clubs for the after-party. With ten clubs participating for one cover ($10 presale, $20 at the door for Soho Mixed Media Bar, Bar 35, the Venue, NextDoor, Manifest, Lotus Downtown, The Loft Gallery & Lounge, Mercury Bar, Hank’s Cafe and The Dragon Upstairs), most spots were at max capacity. We stopped in at a few of the clubs to bring you pics.
