The ever-expanding food and wine event put on by the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce has gotten so popular, they had to move to the Hawaii Convention Center. This year’s event drew about 1,500 people — 200 more than last year — and the new venue was perfect. Despite having a larger crowd, there was more elbow room to walk, talk, eat and shop. This year’s theme was “Mardi Gras,” so many were dressed in beads, boas, masks and crazy hats.
