The University of Hawai‘i football team has actually won two games already! Even if we lose for the rest of the season, it’ll be an improvement over last year’s 1-11 record. It’s all gravy from here on out, UH fans.

Hawai‘i voters head to the polls this month to elect a new governor. Who will it be? Democrat David Ige? Republican James “Duke” Aiona? Hawai‘i Independent Mufi Hannemann? Or Libertarian Jeff Davis?

Hawai‘i drivers are the least likely in the nation to hit a deer, according to State Farm Insurance. Believe it or not, there are deer in Hawai‘i, mostly on the Big Island and Maui. But, in paradise, we’re more likely to get struck by lightning than hit a deer.

Former University of Hawai‘i football coach June Jones resigned from Southern Methodist University after a 0-2 start to the season, citing “personal reasons.”

A video of a road-rage incident in Moanalua went viral recently, reminding us all to drive with aloha. Keep calm and drive on, Honolulu.

A city auditor’s report slammed the Honolulu Board of Water Supply for its practice of estimating bills, sometimes with gross inaccuracy, while it implemented its new billing system last year. Let’s hope the wacky billing issues are water under the bridge.
