Some quick updates: today is the last day to order Choco Lea's Valentine's Day box, which includes three chocolate-covered Oreos and 12 truffles in flavors of triple chocolate, caramel with alae Hawaiian sea salt, lilikoi, cookie butter and lychee liqueur ($30). Now's also the time to order Padovanni Chocolate's chocolate-covered strawberries ($7.50/piece), available for pickup on Valentine's Day only. It's pricey, but Philippe Padovanni says he flies in hand-picked strawberries four times the size of your average berry, and dips them in pure chocolate for great flavor and snap, instead of most places which mix the chocolate with oil. If none of those options are risqué enough for your Valentine, you might want to look into Padovanni's erotic chocolates. Unlike the strawberries, they are available year-round; the appeal for naughty chocolates, it appears, is timeless.
