Bones & Feathers Collective's new spring/summer collection

Rad to the Bone

Bones and Feathers Collective

Bones and Feathers Collective, we have a bone to pick with you. Your new spring/summer collection is just too awesome.

Did you seriously expect us to fall for bold, vintage-style pieces influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, The Great Gatsby, and the Art Deco movement of the early 1900s, like that gorgeous geometric-shaped Mayan snake necklace accented with embossed lamb leather and gold-plated rattlesnake vertebrae?

Newsflash: we did. Now, you have us obsessing over gold-plated Deco Arrow studs and pendants, engraved signet rings and hand-painted enamel Empire cuffs inspired by Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead.

How could you?

Bones and Feathers Collective

Oh, right – by taking past seasons' favorites, like Triple Snake necklaces and Double Fox knuckle rings cast from real animal vertebrae, and dipping them in turquoise, blood orange, or peach enamel for a refreshing jolt of color. Or stringing those same vertebrae onto suede cords that stack so beautifully, we're tempted to buy in multiples.

Darn it, you know how we get when we see edgy new pieces take flight.

So much for staying cool, calm and Collective.

$30-$275. Select pieces can be found in Hawaii exclusively at Owens & Co., 1152 Nuuanu Ave., (808) 531-4300, full collection available online. All photos courtesy of Bones and Feathers Collective.
