Bang! Bang! Pow Wow School of Music Showcase
POW WOW Hawaii and its supporters took over NextDoor Saturday night for a showcase and sneak preview of the 2014 POW WOW School of Music artists, followed by a performance by Anton Glamb and his band, and DJs Osna and Packo spinning hip-hop for the rest of the night. A special treat was painter Ekundayo doing a live art piece at the event, and tacos and burritos served up by Alejandro’s Tacos & Burritos. Bang! Bang! is the first event to raise funds and awareness for the POW WOW Music section of the POW WOW urban art festival that happens February 8th-15. All proceeds will go towards the music education and programming.
The night was also a birthday party for POW WOW co-organizer Christa Wittmier, aka Super CW. Happy birthday!
