Magnificent poke creations—more kinds than we’ve ever seen—plus cool thirst quenchers and plenty of snacks and desserts: The seventh annual Frolic Hawai‘i Poke Fest was bigger and better than ever. Families enjoyed a keiki zone provided by Island Pacific Academy, complimentary Wi-Fi from Hawaiian Telcom and fun activities from Hawai‘i Gas and Heineken. The first 250 attendees received ‘ono wonton chips from Foodland and swag from Kalaeloa Partners, all to live entertainment by The Vitals 808 and Trishnālei.

But the highlight was the poke, of course. By tradition, we asked every poke vendor to create a Poke Fest special, then put all entries up to a fan-favorite vote. Iconic and new poke vendors from across the island rose to the challenge, from old-school Fort Ruger Market in Diamond Head to the newest, Ali‘i Fish Market of Mō‘ili‘ili and still-expanding Paradise Poke, the reigning King of Poke Fest from 2023 and 2022. You’ll find the lineup of winners at the bottom of this post.
