KOHO Launches Luscious Offerings for the Holidays
This year will be much bigger than ever before, with classic holiday flavors in signature hand-painted bonbons.

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright—and studded with the prettiest edible chocolate baubles. KOHO Chocolates, a luxury chocolate company owned by Hawaiian Host, is launching its 2023 holiday collection. And while the stunning confections look almost too exquisite to eat, the festive limited-edition flavors are too good not to.
KOHO Chocolates launched during the height of Covid lockdowns, and all of the restrictions and challenges that came with operating a retail business, and so this year is its first full-fledged holiday campaign, says Theresa Tuxhorn, KOHO’s managing director. “We’re really excited about this year’s holiday offerings. This year will be much bigger than anything we’ve previously done. It’s our first big season post Covid, and we’ve created really classic holiday flavors in our signature hand-painted bonbons.”

KOHO Holiday Flavors
KOHO is introducing two seasonal flavors for the 2023 holiday season: Peppermint Mocha Caramel and Gingerbread Spice Caramel.
Peppermint Mocha Caramel: Robust Kona coffee meets its candy cane match in this bonbon that combines KOHO’s signature coffee caramel with a brisk swirl of peppermint, enrobed in milk chocolate made exclusively from locally grown cacao. The confections are hand-painted in a striking shade of holiday red, flecked with shimmering gold accents.
Gingerbread Spice Caramel: Subtle notes of nutmeg- and cinnamon- flecked caramel fill these jewel-toned green bonbons, creating a perfect bite of holiday bliss.
The flavors will be available in a variety of box sets through the end of the year, and can be purchased online, at the KOHO Chocolates shop in the Outrigger Waikīkī Beach Resort and at its partner retailers Neiman Marcus and DFS Galleria locations in Waikīkī (330 Royal Hawaiian Ave.) and at the Honolulu airport.
KOHO Holiday Green Collection
This set of four bonbons ($14), each flavor decorated in festive red or green, is stocking-sized: petite and sweet. The set comes with two of each of the seasonal flavors.
KOHO Holiday Seeker Collection
A six-piece set of assorted artisan chocolates in six flavors (price TK), including seasonal flavors: coconut, liliko‘i, Kona coffee, Hawaiian sea salt, gingerbread spice caramel and peppermint mocha caramel.
KOHO Holiday Explorer Collection
Double the bonbon pleasure. This 12-piece set of assorted artisan chocolates ($34) includes the seasonal flavors, plus: Kona coffee, liliko‘i, Hawaiian sea salt and guava.
KOHO Holiday Voyager Collection
This is the ‘ohana- sized set—plenty for everyone at the party. In addition to the seasonal holiday flavors, this 18-piece assortment includes: Kona coffee, liliko‘i, Hawaiian sea salt, coconut, macadamia honey blossom, guava and mango ginger. If this set isn’t already on your gift list (or better yet, your wish list), it really should be.
KOHO Milk Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts
These aren’t your typical chocolate mac nuts. Those classic craggy mounds of chocolate covered nuts get an upgrade with premium milk chocolate made from locally grown cacao, enveloping locally grown macadamia nuts and given the truffle treatment with a dusting of cocoa powder ($35 for a 5.5-ounce box). And fear not, holiday shoppers and gifters: KOHO’s signature hand-painted designs may not be on the chocolates themselves, but the box is adorned with the same beautiful artwork, truly making it a grab-and-go gift option, no wrapping or ribbon needed.
