Chick-fil-A sets sights on first Oahu location
Why did the chicken cross the Pacific?

We normally don’t get our undies in a bunch over announcements from chain restaurants, but this announcement has me flocking to Snopes to see if it was fake news or not. The confirmation came in a memo from Chick-fil-A corporate communications, the chicken chain with a cult following announced its expansion across the big blue Pacific to Hawaii.
“We are honored to join the Aloha State,” the release states. “and look forward to serving new and existing fans delicious food with remarkable hospitality.”
Famous for its original chicken sandwich, Chick-fil-A has grown to be a leader in the fast food industry, not only for its signature service with a smile, but for its food – much of which is minimally processed or made by hand in each restaurant, everyday. From fresh squeezed lemonade to hand breaded chicken and fresh chopped salads, this is fast food elevated and fans like myself have noticed.
Franchise owners themselves are also held to a very high standard by the brand and go through a multi-step process and intereview schedule before being offered the opportunity to open a store. It’s this level of selectiveness that has me intrigued on who and where the store will be roosting. I really hope it’s out in Kapolei!
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for the location and the opening, but for now I’ll just keep praying for my next Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit! Oh and can someone please tell In-n-Out and Shake Shack they need to get over here too, thanks!
