Welcome to Hawaii

No doubt, you’ve heard the Japanese welcome message played in airport terminals. Today, the Honolulu International Airport unveiled its new Hawaiian language greeting to welcome travelers to Hawaii. The message in both Hawaiian and English will be played over the terminal intercoms. A video featuring Amy Kalili of ‘Ōiwi TV will also be played on incoming flights to Hawaii. The hope is that this new greeting will introduce visitors to Hawaii’s rich culture and welcome home returning kama‘aina.
