Awesome eats this Friday: Tanioka’s bento, spicy ahi and musubi
Tanioka’s Seafoods & Catering, a popular monthly regular at Awesome eats, had to take a break over the holidays, and we missed them! This Friday the Waipahu institution returns to our downtown lunchtime pop-up with delicious fried chicken bentos, spicy ahi trays and an assortment of mochiko chicken, Goteborg sausage and ahi patty musubis.
You can pre-order the bento and spicy ahi, but the musubis will be available at the pop-up tent at the corner of Bishop and King streets on a first come, first sold basis. So will a limited number of bentos and spicy ahi trays. Here’s the lineup for Friday:
1. Spicy ahi tray over sushi rice, $7.52
2. Fried chicken bento with fish patty, maki sushi and cone sushi, $10.61
Hungry yet? All this will be available this Friday, Feb. 17 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the corner of Bishop and King streets, cash only. See you on Friday!
