Eat the Street: Hawaii

Eat the Street once again switched locations this month, settling at the Kakaako Waterfront Park parking lot at the end of Cooke Street. With the theme of Hawaii, May’s Eat the Street celebrated the unique and wonderful foods we know as “local grinds,” from Twisted Taters’ unique take on the loco moco and manually shaved, all-natural shave ice creations by Ha’aha’a Shave Ice to the delicious grilled pork sticks by Spin to Pioneer Saloon’s overwhelmingly popular Japanese Style Teriyaki Ramen Burger.
From 7-9 p.m., eaters were treated to live music by Bobby Moderow from Maunalua, and happy hour specials at the beer garden.
