New Nightclub and Lounge: The Clubhouse

A restaurant located in the old Hard Rock Café location, across from the convention center, is turning itself into a new nightclub and lounge this Friday night. “We opened two months ago to a test market serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and pupu as Clubhouse Makino,” explains bar manager, Robert Fear. It has since changed its name to The Clubhouse, and is open daily as a restaurant from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Oasis has been locked down as The Clubhouse’s weekly Friday night event. If you remember, Oasis used to be held at Oceans 808, but since Oceans is closing, the event has moved here.

The first Oasis this Friday night promises seven bars, including one bar outside with firepits and tiki torches, three levels of entertainment, three deejays and a late night food menu—more than 20 pupu for $4.99 each. The Clubhouse’s lineup for the rest of the week isn’t set yet, but there is talk of live bands on weekday nights, including a live-band karaoke night, for those of you who want to live out your rock star dreams.

Oasis, Friday nights, 21+, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., 1837 Kapiolani Blvd.
