The Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Show

The Valentine’s Day show is sold out but there’s still time to book a spot for you and your true crime-loving date for a show at the end of this month. The interactive dinner show is part theater, part comedy and part detective work—all while guests enjoy a three-course meal and drinks.

Forgot to plan a Valentine’s date this weekend and all of the restaurants around town are booked? Surprise your date with tickets to the ’80s classic showing for one night only at Consolidated Ward, which will allow you time to book a table at a romantic hot spot. Afterwards, practice the famous lift in front of a couch or many, many pillows. Why? Because who hasn’t thought of trying it?

Honolulu African American Film Festival
February 15–March 1 | Various times
Any of the films and documentaries being showcased during the ninth installment of the two-week-long festival are worth catching. Get to the Honolulu Museum of Art to check out an exhibit or two before watching one of the 12 critically acclaimed movies part of HAAFF. And if you attend a screening after Feb. 22 then you will be able to explore the incredible 30 Americans exhibit.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
February 15 | 10 a.m.
If your Valentine’s Day plans involve the entire family then revisiting the Harry Potter series on the big screen would be a perfect date with the kiddos. Consolidated Theatres will release every Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movie each month for two screenings each, starting with a screening of the film that launched the neverending franchise.
