HONOLULU’s Burger Bash presented by Alaska Mileage Plan takes over the Kāhala Mall Chili’s parking lot this Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m., featuring more than 20 food trucks and restaurants selling inventive burgers, savory sides and sweet treats to enjoy. Here’s what to expect, and why you should join us for our first-ever burger fest.

1. Admission is free.

No tickets are required for this event, just keep your wallet on hand to pay for the dishes and drinks you want to try. And it’s great for families (with plenty of kid-friendly activities), so bring your mom, dad, tūtū and keiki for some quality time with the fam.

2. There’s more on the menu than burgers.

We’ll have plenty of patties to enjoy, of course, but there will also be pizza, plus some sweet treats from vendors Aloha Sweet, Il Gelato, Island’s Finest Shave Ice and more. And for those who prefer to enjoy their burgers with an ice-cold brew, we’ll have a bar area just for the 21-and-older gang.

3. Opt for a Burger Bash Pass.

Love burgers, but hate lines? This $25 pass gets you five passes to use at any participating vendor, smaller portions so you can try more plus access to faster lines so you can spend less time waiting and more time eating. Burger Bash Passes are only available for pre-sale at HNLTix.com, and there’s a limited number, so get yours ASAP.

4. Get first dibs on this limited-edition (and super cute!) Jana Lam stocking.

Jana Lam’s fun tropical prints and signature punchy palettes have made her eponymous brand one of the Islands’ most popular fashion statements. Just in time for the holidays, we teamed up with Lam to create a limited-edition reversible Christmas stocking, available in red or green, launching for the very first time at Burger Bash.

5. Enjoy your burger with a side of live music.

Chill out to a lineup of local artists including Izik, Keilana and Karlie G., with live performances that will keep you in a good-vibes-only mood all evening long.

6. Head indoors for more.

If it gets hot, feel free to head into the cool, air-conditioned comfort of Kāhala Mall, which will have plenty of additional seating, live entertainment on two stages and pop-ups by mall merchants and local brands, plus keiki activities, glitter tattoos and games for the little ones.

7. Get dropped off.

Don’t be a victim of mall parking rage. Avoid headache and keep your plans stress free by using Uber or Lyft to get to and from the event. For those who do drive, overflow parking will be available at Kāhala Elementary.

8. Eat. Vote. Fly!

So many burgers, but only one will be named the best. Help us crown the king or queen of Burger Bash by voting for your favorite burger of the night. Here’s why it pays to play favorites: Everyone who casts a vote will be automatically entered to win two roundtrip tickets to anywhere Alaska flies, courtesy of Alaska Mileage Plan.

Burger Bash presented by Alaska Mileage Plan takes place this Saturday, Nov. 9, 4 to 9 p.m. at the Kāhala Mall Chili’s parking lot. For more information and to purchase a Burger Bash Pass, visit HNLTix.com.
