Check out the enormous lei, some up to 13 feet long, draped over the King Street statue of Kamehameha or catch all the colorful floats, pau riders and marching bands at any point along the parade route from downtown Honolulu to Kapiolani Park.

Can grownups still play with Legos? New York-based Nathan Sawaya thinks so. He doesn’t just play with the building blocks, he makes “brick art” with them. See eight of his original sculptures and watch as he creates a ninth live at Uptown Pearlridge Center.
