7 New Stops For Your Made in Hawai‘i Festival Agenda

That’s why we’re so ready to shop this weekend’s Made in Hawai‘i Festival, aka the annual stop for locally made everything. We’re stoked to score finds from festival regulars, such as incredibly well-tailored clothing from The Cut Collective, must-have, iconic art pieces from Everything is Jake and luscious soaps from Kona Soap Co. But, in addition to the classics, we took a peek at some of the fresh faces that will be joining the Made in Hawai‘i vendors for the first time ever. The Made in Hawai'i Festival is happening Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 22, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 23, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1. Now that we can shop iconic local brand Kealopiko at Made in Hawai‘i, we’re making it one of our first stops for breezy jersey separates and dresses with prints inspired by the Islands. Think patterns of fish scales, lush foliage and limu.

2. Fall in love with A Maui Day by Severina Designs’ lovely hand-printed wristlets in a variety of bold and understated colors. Our favorite? The combo of a gold hibiscus flower on a denim background.

3. Interesting textures and organic shapes make the silver-plated, gold-plated, copper and gunmetal earrings, necklaces and rings from Believe in the Free jewelry wonderfully eye-catching and unique.

4. Aim HI carries organic and vegan skincare, such as sugar scrubs, lotions, face oils and lip balm made with fresh, local ingredients including coffee and sea salt.

5. You’ll love the cheeky, Hawai‘i-themed designs on Workshop 28’s sustainable cork coasters and trivets, complete with cute pineapples and “aloha”s.

6. Laha‘ole Designs is truly a labor of love. Designer Tanya Uyehara shapes, solders and crafts all her jewelry by hand using precious stones, while her clothing is hand-screened and hand-sewn.

7. Kaua‘i-based Iwi Nani Jewelry adds some elegance to the beach-jewelry trend, with sterling silver and 14K gold, and unexpected additions, such as beautifully patterned clay shards or Tahitian pearls.
