12th Ave Grill Bordeaux Wine Dinner

12th Ave Grill will host its first wine dinner of the year on Monday, April 26th, featuring the power and complexity of wines from the Bordeaux region in France.

As the restaurant describes, "From clean and classic Sauvignon-Semillion blends to fruit driven, meaty yet silky tannins of Cabernet-Merlot to deeper blackberry and velvet textures, this region is a Chef’s delight."

Chef Kevin Hanney and chef Zach Most’s have created a menu fill of bold flavors to pair with these exceptional wines.

Here’s a look at the menu:

First Course
Picante Crispy Fried Frogs Legs with Meyer Lemon and Garlic Butter & Sauteed Kona Abalone with Paprika and a Chive Sauce
Paired with 2007 Chateau Brondelle, Graves and 2009 Chateau La Freynelle, Entre deux Mers

Second Course
Cider Braised Kurobuta Pork Belly with Apricots, Pistachios & Frisee
Paired with 2005 Chateau Parenchere Cuvee Raphael, Bordeaux Superieur and 2007 Chateau Doyac, Haut Medoc

Third Course
Pan Roasted Spice Rubbed Venison Rib Chop, Celeriac & Shallots, Pan Jus
Paired with 2005 Chateau Gloria, St. Julien

Dessert
French & California Cheese Plate
Paired with 2005 Clos Jean, Loupiac

12th Ave Grill will also offer an opportunity to taste a 2006 Chateau Montrose St. Estephe (for an additional $10). The wine offers "a taste of Bordeaux epitomizing the region as full, concentrated yet elegant and chewy."

Two hour seatings start at 5:30 & 6 p.m. with second seatings at 7:30 & 8 p.m. The Bordeaux Wine Dinner is available for $65 per person / $75 with the additional wine (plus tax & gratuity).
