You didn’t think Hawaii Rep. Faye Hanohano would be repentant after last week’s formal scolding by House Speaker Joe Souki, did you? Because she’s not. In her first public comments since being reprimanded, Hanohano defends herself in an interview with the Big Island Chronicle’s Tiffany Edwards-Hunt, who invited HONOLULU Magazine readers to take a look at the full 45-minute video. The reprimand followed complaints that Hanohano made intimidating and racially discriminatory remarks to a college student and state employees.
