Personal shopper at Whole Foods Kahala
If you think grocery shopping a chore, get a personal shopper at Whole Foods Kahala. For free! Email or phone in your grocery list, drive up the next day and have the groceries brought to you curbside. No circling for parking, no corralling your kids in the aisles lest they fall into the bulk bins.
Mostly, I think this is convenient for busy families. While I normally enjoy wandering the supermarket looking for what's fresh, what's new, what's on sale, and corralling the husband lest everything from the smoked meat counter "fall" into our grocery basket, I did try the service recently, and the convenience was amazing. I can see myself using it from time to time, especially around the holidays. But you have to be really specific on your shopping list (i.e. brand, local, organic) or be flexible—the personal shopper, Bob Madison, will make his best guess if he's not sure.
You'll call in your credit card the first time you use the service; from then on, Madison will just run your card.
Email your grocery list to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 738-0820 and ask for Bob, Monday through Friday until 4 p.m. each day. Pick up your groceries curbside after 10 a.m. the following day. Delivery also available for $28 as far as Makiki.
