’Tis the season for pumpkin pie, pecan pie, li hing apple pie, rye pie and Snuggy Bear. Wait, what? 


We’re not telling you to give up the traditional, just to make some extra room on your Thanksgiving table for these: 



The pies:

Kelsey Morgan of Breadshop is offering a sweet potato custard pie in a coconut shortbread crust and topped with toasted black kumquat meringue, a sour apple pie, and a Mānoa dark chocolate and cacao nib pie in a rye crust ($40 each). 


How to order:

Orders are taken by email only and can be picked up on Nov. 26, 27 and 28. 

[Update: Pre-orders are now closed. There will be a few pies available on a first-come, first-serve basis on Nov. 27 and 28.]

The pies:

Heather Lukela, pastry chef at The Kāhala Hotel & Resort’s bakeshop and with her own side pie business that supplies restaurants including XO, offers apple pie topped with coconut almond granola ($40), a fresh strawberry pie ($35), and the Snuggy Bear ($35)—a toffee coffee almond fudge ice cream pie crowned with a salted milk crumble.

The pies:

Kelsey Takara has concocted a li hing apple pie ($28)—apples and a li hing custard topped with a brown sugar streusel—and a more traditional pecan pie ($28), but with a touch of whiskey. 


How to order:

Order at thepigandthelady.com. Pickup is Nov. 27.
