BALI STEAK AND SEAFOOD

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the Hilton Hawaiian Village’s restaurant will add to the menu smoked, chilled Skuna Bay salmon salad, roasted duck with Brussels sprouts, chateaubriand for two and a Riesling-poached pear brown-butter cake.

THE BUFFET AT HYATT

The buffet celebrates the end of its first year with some special items available on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Select from king crab, Pacific Northwest oysters, citrus-poached Kauaʻi shrimp, roast leg of lamb, poke or other hot and cold items. A carving station will also feature prime rib, honey ham and roasted free range turkey. Kids can pick up chicken strips, mac and cheese and other favorites at the keiki station. Don’t forget desserts including gingersnap bread pudding, blackberry basil panna cotta, a Christmas black forest yule log and hot cocoa station.

HŌKŪ’S

Available Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Hōkū’s five-course prix fixe holiday celebration menu begins with a caviar and octopus amuse bouche, followed by sesame-crusted seared ʻahi, truffle butternut squash soup, almondine catch with yuzu brown butter, sous vide prime tenderloin of beef and lilikoʻi tart for dessert.

Make it a family affair with Hōkū’s Christmas day brunch buffet, featuring king crab legs, miso-glazed butterfish, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, a salad bar, a variety of sashimi and sushi, tempura and much more. MAHINA & SUN’S

Along with the traditional menu, The Surfjack Hotel’s restaurant will offer a three-course meal. For the first course, choose from creamy kabocha soup or fresh beet salad. Main dish entrées include braised lamb shanks with polenta; fried half chicken with green papaya salad; seafood stew with monchong, lobster, he‘e, shrimp, fennel and tomato; and miso opah with bok choy and pa‘i‘ai. Finish it off with either peppermint chocolate tart, black sesame gelato ice cream sandwich and cinnamon hot chocolate, or a chef’s selection of gelato.

MW RESTAURANT

Dig in family-style at MW’s Christmas Dinner. The set menu includes ʻahi poke, garlic shrimp lumpia, Hokkaido scallop-and-crab siu mai, mochi-crusted Kona kampachi, prime rib, vegetables, kālua pig-and-potato gratin and your choice of dessert, all to share.

Have a Christmas pre-party at Kula Grille, with a buffet full of salads, hot selections and desserts. Special menu items include harvest greens with pumpkin-spiced pecans and Waimānalo cherry tomatoes, roasted Kahuku corn with Cajun chipotle butter, blue crab-encrusted island catch, a pizza station and blueberry cheesecake bites.

ORCHIDS

Sit seaside for brunch or a dinner buffet at the Halekūlani. While you’re there, try the new tableside cocktail service which includes an Aperol spritz and a chance to build your own custom cocktail from the restaurant’s Negroni cart.

Turtle Bay Resort’s signature restaurant, Paʻakai will add four special dishes to the menu for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners. Start off with spiced ʻahi tataki with pickled onion and fried garlic ($22) before digging into prime rib with popovers and whipped potatoes ($50) or lobster Newburg in a sherry lobster sauce ($65). Finish it off with a salted caramel chocolate tart with roasted bananas ($15).

PLUMERIA BEACH HOUSE

Sushi, crispy branzino, roasted Cajun shrimp cocktail and seared ʻahi salad are just some of the choices at Plumeria Beach House’s dinner buffet. Whether you’ve got a craving for prime rib, crab legs, poke or sautéed stuffed chicken, this buffet has something for everyone, especially those with a sweet tooth. The dessert station boasts more than a dozen items ranging from POG tapioca pudding (which is gluten-, nut-, dairy- and egg-free) to raspberry lychee panna cotta and chocolate cream puffs.

Christmas day brunch at Plumeria Beach House boasts a carving station with prime rib and orange cranberry-glazed ham, as well as omelet and dessert stations, a waffle bar, breakfast specialties, soups, appetizers and a variety of salad and hot selections.

RAINBOW LĀNAI

The Christmas Eve buffet will include steamed crab, a carving station with kīawe-smoked Angus prime rib, ginger-steamed mussels with lap cheong and peppermint bark, dark chocolate torte and other seasonal desserts. Christmas Day, diners can also select from turkey with cornbread stuffing, braised beef and Chinese-style steamed island fish. Black forest cake, autumn pear ginger crisp will be among the desserts.

STRIPSTEAK WAIKĪKĪ

The 35th Hale ʻAina award winner will feature a four-course prix fixe menu for the holidays. Stripsteak’s “Instant” Bacon has pork belly, crispy oyster and black pepper-soy glaze. Then diners can select either lobster bisque with Kona lobster or The Wedge salad with a bacon crumble, egg, blue cheese and ranch dressing. Select from the restaurant’s smoked prime rib or a Kansas City strip before ending with red velvet cake. A limited à la carte menu will also be available with a few of chef Michael Mina’s favorites including Michael Mina’s Kona Lobster Pot Pie.

TOP OF WAIKĪKĪ

Celebrate the holidays with views of Waikīkī Beach, Diamond Head and those Honolulu city lights at the state’s only revolving restaurant. Prix fixe menus will not be offered on Christmas Day, but along with the regular menu, you can order prime rib with mashed potatoes, broccolini and horseradish cream. Also available will be a vanilla bean mousse cake. Don’t forget the cocktails. Three holiday drinks will give you a festive way to get lit.

The ala carte menu will highlight a few seasonal dishes including lobster bisque, kīawe-smoked prime rib with roasted garlic crushed potatoes, bay scallop carbonara and a grilled bone-in beef short rib with Big Island mushroom savory bread pudding. Finish it with warm apple ginger crisp with macadamia nut gelato.
