Take A Peek Inside Aussie Label Zimmermann’s First Hawai‘i Boutique
The chic new Honolulu store is chock-full of gorgeous spring fashions, sun-ready swimwear and tropical Hawai‘i exclusives.
I visited Australia for the first time a few years ago and fell hard for the country for so many reasons, among them its warm-hearted people, its natural-modern interior styles, its absolute mastery of brunch, and of course, its effortlessly cool Aussie fashions.
So, I was thrilled to learn that Sydney womenswear label Zimmermann, helmed by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann and known for its decidedly light and feminine fashions, would be opening up its first Hawai‘i boutique this month.

Located in the ‘Ewa wing of Ala Moana Center, the 3,026-square-foot space was brought to life by Australian design firm Studio McQualter with escapism in mind, conveyed through vivid shades of green, curtains patterned with tropical foliage and exuberant abstract paintings by Melbourne artist Jordy van den Nieuwendijk.

The store opened with an array of runway styles, ready-to-wear apparel, swimwear, accessories and keiki pieces from Zimmermann’s Spring ’23 collection—which featured playful stripes and Victorian florals inspired by surf town Tamarama’s circa-1900s amusement park Wonderland City—and Summer Swim ’23 collection, replete with rich jewel hues and sun-kissed gold hardware.
Make sure to also keep an eye out for the shop’s special collection of Hawai‘i-exclusive merchandise (above), which includes a bikini, sarong, beach towel and more featuring vibrant illustrations of pineapples and monstera leaves.
