As part of our Hale ‘Aina Dinner Series, two award-winning names will come together for one ultra exclusive evening dinner on Dec. 17.
HONOLULU Magazine has reinvented the Hale ‘Aina Awards this year to give diners a new, intimate way to experience their favorite award-winning restaurants. The Hale ‘Aina Dinner Series takes place in December with our official Hale ‘Aina Celebration on Dec. 12 plus four dine-in events throughout the month spotlighting past and current winners through one-night-only special menus or collab dinners.
As part of our Hale ‘Aina Dinner Series, you’re invited to an exclusive evening that brings together two of the most highly regarded names in the industry. Justin Park, co-owner and head bartender of Bar Leather Apron, and chef Shaymus Alwin of Hy’s Steak House join their creative forces in a collaborative multi-course dinner on Thursday, Dec. 17, which will feature off-menu dishes created by chef Alwin plus three unique cocktails crafted by Park especially for the night. The menu, which Alwin and Park are keeping under wraps, will be revealed at the dinner and highlight BLA’s and Hy’s stellar reputations in skill, creativity and guest experience.
